We perform checks on reviews
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines. Learn more about our review moderation.

FREE! Street Parking right there (must pay but that is normal - and the price is NOT inflated). Good FREE facilities.
Mar 2023 • Friends
Best FREE place to enjoy the Dead Sea, for so many reasons. First, street parking (as always, you must pay, but this is everywhere in Israel) is available so you are not being robbed to park. Facilities to change in. Clean bathrooms. Lots of showers once you have left the water. Lifeguards on duty. Both places in the sun and shade to use. The short is easy to walk on. Highly recommended. And there is great shopping right next door in case you did something like we did - show up without towels (we bought large towels for $3 each!!) plus extra inexpensive Dead Sea products (the shopping next door you will not be ripped off at!). Every reason to visit and none not to.

The sensation given by this almost extraterrestrial place remains unforgettable.
Aug 2022
We stopped for a good part of an afternoon on this beach, perhaps the most famous on the Israeli shore of the Dead Sea, equipped with several high-category hotels.
The beach is well equipped, with umbrellas, chairs, changing rooms and showers, all efficient and free. But all this will in no way convince you that you are on a normal beach.
First of all, the temperature won't allow it. We are in the lowest emerged surface of the earth (about 430 meters below sea level), therefore in mid-August this spot is a boiler. The liquid crystal display of the thermometer on the surveillance building read 50 Celsius degrees.
Then, of course, the water. With 365 grams of salts per liter of water, its density is such that you will inevitably float. It's hard - for example - to go from the supine position on the surface of the water, to the standing one.
In the end, once the pleasure given by the novelty of the phenomenon has passed, one submits with relief to the open-air fresh water showers available along the beach. But the sensation given by this almost extraterrestrial place remains unforgettable.

The invisible Healing Powers of the Dead Sea
Feb 2023
Whether you suffer from psoriasis, joint aches or asthma, visit the Dead Sea region for respite from your ailments. The salt in the water and in the air help soothe your aches and relax your skin so that you can function better after you finish the treatment course. Remember: It is highly recommended to consult your medical specialist before embarking on a trip, as the treatments vary from one person's condition to the next. Enjoy, relax and stay healthy!

come before the water evaporates

Hot; oily and chemical water - that's the dead sea. Ein Bokek is a good beach to enjoy it. Come with family - It relaxes all ages.

Loved our day at Ein Bokek beach
Sep 2022 • Couples
We took the 486 bus from Jerusalem's Central Station (24 shekels RT) and 2 hours later got off at the Dead Sea Daniel hotel stop. Ein Bokek beach was lovely, with shade sails on the beach and in the water. Free outdoor showers and foot showers and changing facilities. We rented 2 beach loungers and a chair. Bought mud for 10 shekels at the market, a cheap towel (for 3 of us) and we did buy water shoes for 30 shekels, but if you have flip flops you could get away with. Not buying water shoes (though they were nice to have). It wasn't crazy hot, so we ended up staying for almost 4 hours. It was a really fun and easy day. We went on a Wednesday, in late Sept,so not crowded at all. It's the same bus for EIN Gedi and Masada. A note about hotel day passes: I couldn't find good info on this. I finally emailed Herod hotel, and they said it was $105 per day and Lot Hotel emailed back and said theirs was $145 per day, including lunch and I think spa? (Not spa treatments). An Israeli we met at the Dead Sea said that they get a military discount and he thought theirs was more like $50 and that the buffet lunch is awesome and the indoor/outdoor pools have pumped in Dead Sea water.

Unique experience, not always great
Aug 2022
Ein Bokek boasts a large number of spas as well as public beaches. The beaches have all the necessary amenities, although a spa experience is frequently recommended if you prefer the conveniences of indoor changing rooms and showers for an extra fee. The experience of floating on the sea surface is clearly unique, but may not be worth the effort for everyone. Note that in the summer months, the sea gets so warm so quickly that going in is akin to taking a hot bath, not at all welcome on a superhot day.

Excellent free beach from which to enjoy the Dead Sea
Aug 2022 • Family
Superb free beach. Everything you need. Car park (6 NIS per hour), changing cubicles, shade, paths and showers. There are a couple of eateries also (there are probably loads but it was 49 degrees today and the place was very quiet indeed). It’s a lot prettier than the Jordanian side in my opinion. This is an actual beach rather than an astronomically expensive hotel with private access.
